Any Reason To Celebrate

I love celebrating...anything. Why not? It can make an ordinary day extra fun, just by "celebrating", and turning it into a special occasion. The first thing we celebrated this week was Ground Hog Day. I know, most people don't know when it occurs, but I guarantee you ask any kindergarten teacher what happens on February 2 and they are sure to know. Anyhow, we have an elderly neighbor who's wife passed away a few years ago, and we have since adopted him. So for Ground Hog Day, the girls made him some cupcakes with little "ground hogs" popping out of them. I know we brightened his day by delivering him some of our homemade treasures.

The second thing we celebrated was Chinese New Year. While we are by no means Chinese, again, another reason to celebrate. Jinglebell was learning about the holiday at school, so we decided to make some Chinese food and practice our chopstick skills. Thus, we love the invention of the fork.
